DO I NEED TO BE FLEXIBLE TO DO YOGA?
The simple answer to this question is a big NO! We understand it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking that those who practice yoga have something extraordinary when we are faced with the sight of an advanced yoga practitioner in an impressive yoga posture. To be more specific, you may think you need an extra bit of flexibility before you pour yourself into the practice. The fact is that all you need is yourself as yoga has the ability to make you as flexible as you can be. It’s all about dedication and diligent practice and with time you will realize the challenging videos or pictures you used to admire aren’t as impossible as they looked. Furthermore, flexibility isn’t the only thing you will gain. This comes together with gains in strength, balance, muscular endurance, improved cardiovascular health which ultimately leads to enhanced overall physical well-being.
