Callaway Mavrik Driver Review
Fitters’ Take
Fitters’ Take will now be available in select reviews. A panel of Master Fitters from Club Champion will share their thoughts based on their own experiences and what they’re seeing during fittings.
A Callaway MAVRIK driver is a low spin model. One of our fitters said that this means that not all golfers will need the SZ model. Numerous fitters shared the same sentiment: “Great forgiveness.”
Numerous fitters and clients have been impressed by the better sound quality of the Epic Flash. A number of fitters commented positively on the design, one even stating that it is the “best looking Callaway heads” in a long time.
Callaway Flash Face SS20 Technology was praised by one Fitter. The unique faces of each model’s loft are designed to assist different types and kinds of misses, he stated. It is because of these unique faces that MAVRIK drivers can accommodate any type of golfer.
Conclusion
Callaway’s MAVRIK has a brand new color scheme, improved sound, and consistent performance. It will make its way into golf bags all over 2020. Although the standard version of the MAVRIK will work well for average players, you should remember that there are tons of subtleties that can be missed. To find what best suits your swing, don’t hesitate to try Sub Zero’s low-spin Sub Zero version or the extremely forgiving MAX.
This is your final review of the MAVRIK drivers. It’s likely you were expecting Top Gun references. However, this driver should be treated with respect. The best and most real call sign that I have ever seen is FUNGUS. You can leave comments if you are unsure or wish to speculate on its meaning.

Advertisements Callaway Mavrik Driver Review: Expensive, But Worth It?
Rob Green Reviews Callaway’s new Mavrik series drivers is now available. It was highly anticipated, following last year’s Epic Flash success. You are here because you’re looking for a driver, or to learn more about the Mavrik.
This review will explain who and why the Mavrik costs so much, as well as whether the driver is worth the money.
The new facial architecture needed FS2S titanium. It is a very strong material, 6 grams lighter than traditional titan to ensure optimal speed, forgiveness, durability, and spin strength.
In order to improve ball speed, there are two interconnected Jailbreak bars between sole and crown. A lighter carbon crown makes it possible to reduce weight and achieve a higher MOI.
A.I. used to also design an advanced internal titaniumrib system for the head, which produces a rich, deep sound.

Cons
Distance not significantly increased from Callaway Epic Flash
Looks may be underwhelming for some
Callaway, following the successes of the Epic Flash driver 2019, has increased their use advanced Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) to optimize their 2020 offering. Three versions are available in the Mavrik range, including the Sub Zero, Standard and Max. In this review we will concentrate on the standard.
Callaway may be smart but not as intelligent as the computers used to create their clubs. The AI is able to learn quickly and efficiently, which has ultimately allowed Callaway to adopt some unconventional, ‘Mavrik’ thinking.
You get a clubface that is optimized for speed. Coupled with the improved aerodynamics of the Mavrik, this is a driver that’s capable of some serious distances.
Better yet, Callaway has made no sacrifices in the forgiveness department of the Mavrik. It’s actually been shown to be more accurate than Epic Flash throughout the whole face, even though the MOI of the club is lower. It’s because the AI gave designers new ways to decide spin rates or weight distribution.
Another area the AI was charged with improving was club acoustics. Engineers instructed the AI to lower club’s sound frequency to make it more pleasing. While the details are a bit confusing, one thing is certain: it’s an excellent sounding driver.
