Amazon employees receive a wide range of benefits. They include medical and parental coverage as well as personal time off.

Amazon provides UPT for their employees 4 times per year at the beginning each quarter. An employee can choose to keep their UPT or use it as is.
Amazon gives 80 hours of UPT to tier-one employees, though the amount of UPT dispersed may increase as Amazon employees move up in their position in the company.
Amazon allows me to use UPT at any time
Amazon’s UPT policy allows staff to access UPT any day of the year. However, certain supervisors may not allow staff to simultaneously use UPT.
Because Amazon supervisors can be strict about allowing UPT to continue for an extended period, some staff are advised not to do so.
Amazon’s staff may use their UPT anywhere, not just during peak times such as Prime Day and the holiday season.
Are You at Risk for Amazon’s Use of UPT?
Although staff cannot be indicted for not using the UPT hours they have been given, they could face charges for overusing their UPT amounts, as recorded by Amazon’s clock-out system.
Amazon could fire employees who have accumulated more UPT hours than the company gives each year. However, some supervisors might choose to give their staff a warning.
Amazon workers should not take more than what they have been given. This could result in them being fired or put on unemployment.
Amazon: Are Sick days covered by UPT
Amazon employees do not have to choose between sick days or UPT. Amazon staff are entitled to 80 hours of UPT, as well as 80 hours for sick days per year.
Amazon employees can use their UPT to supplement their sick days, if necessary. The only way to get sick days is to make sure employees call in at least 24 hours in advance.
Amazon employees are advised not to take sick days similar to their UPT. This is even though they have more sick days.
What’s the Difference Between UPT and PTO at Amazon?
Amazon employees can be granted UPT (unpaid-time off) or PTO (“paid time off”). The major difference between these two benefits is that UPT is not compensated time off, whereas staff members will still receive payment for their regular shifts when taking PTO.
Amazon provides 80 hours of Unpaid Time Off per annum to its employees while only giving 40 hours PTO. In other words, employees get more unpaid leave than they do time off.
Staff members are required to pay VCP an amount when they take time off that is not paid, but this is different from PTO.
Staff members may be granted additional hours to use UPT. However, it is better for them to utilize PTO to avoid losing their wages.
